- 2. 幼虫 Caterpillar (Larva) (一般的蝴蝶在幼虫阶段都会脱皮4-6次。而且每次脱皮它们都会把旧皮吃掉。)
- 化蛹 Pupation (终龄的幼虫会停止进食,不断左右吐丝,形成前蛹。)
- 3. 蛹 Chrysalis (Pupa) (蝴蝶的蛹分为悬蛹和缢蛹。蛹的第四至到第六腹节都能够活动。约10天后,成虫的器官会在蛹内发育完成。)
